A little late on Valentine's

Just a few Valentine's projects to share.

What we have been into and on and under

Emerson is our little rebel.  She is always living on the edge.  She can climb anything, get out of anything strapping her in, and can cause the biggest mess ever.  My typical day consist of chasing her up and down the stairs, telling her to stop climbing on tables and chairs and to stop pulling everything out of the drawers.      There is nothing this girl is afraid to try and there is not stopping her.  She is one determined little girl!!  And all I can do it laugh.

15 month check up

Well, I have really slacked off when it has come to Emerson and her Dr. visits.  If fact, she has not been since she was 5 months.  One day her eye started getting nasty and red so I actually took her in as I thought she might have pink eye.  Come to find out, the little trooper had a double ear infection and it was draining into her eye.  Poor baby, I had no clue she was sick.  So she started her first round of antibiotics ever and was told to bring her back in as soon as she was better to get caught up on shots.  I set up her 15 month appointment and I during this appointment learned that she is takes after her Daddy and brother.  That right, she has a big head in fact, in the 89.99%.  Way to go Emerson...she is going to be one smart little girl.  She weighed 22lbs (68%) and 30 inches long (26%).  She also had to have three shots and we will be going back in the next few weeks to get another round.  As we waited for the Dr., Emerson carried around her jacket and would not let go of it.  I notice she does this whenever she goes to the nursery at church as well. It must be her security blanket.  She waved to everyone in office and would pretend to answer the phone every time the office phone rang...which was a lot.  She is so funny about certain things, I just love it when I can capture those moments!!

HELLO

This crazy winter

This winter has been so mild as far as weather.  Of course, the year I am totally prepared.  I bought them both snow bibs and even have a new sled.  I just knew we were going to get a great snow for the kids to play in.  We have had one or two snow flurries, hardly enough to dust the ground.  So when we did have a flurry, I ran Emerson outside to try and get a picture.

Learning to write

Hayden has never been one to sit down and color or draw.  It was like pulling teeth to get him to sit down and do any type of art project.  Well, the last few weeks he has been obsessed with crafts, art projects, drawing pictures, making books, and writing.  To the point our house looks like a tornado ripped through an art store.  Crayons, markers, sheets of construction paper, scissors, glue are spread over the whole house.  I can't really complain too much because I love his imagination and eagerness to read and write.  Here are a few of my favorites.  The first picture he drew in hopes of going around the neighborhood, with the wagon, and selling for $25 a picture...what a bargain!!  I am sure all the neighbors would have jumped on this amazing deal!!  The next two are a few things he wrote all by himself.  I love how he thinks Th sounds like V.  The last picture...well...all I can say is he is a typical boy!
