National Doughnut Day

Today is National Doughnut Day which gave us a great excuse to run the our nearest Krispy Kreme and grab a doughnut or two.  I know two little kiddos who were happy to celebrate NDD.  This was Emerson's first real doughnut and she savored every bite.   Typically, she eats as fast as she can get food into her mouth, but not this doughnut.  She would pinch off a sprinkle, one at a time and smile.  Then, she   started pinching off a bite of the doughnut.  She is usually finished with her food by the time we all get situated at the table, but not today.  It took her 30 minutes to enjoy her doughnut.  Now Hayden, he inhaled his doughnut and so did I.
