Happy Daddy's Day

Couldn't ask for a better father for our kids.  They are so lucky to have you!

Griffin's 5 month check in

This has been the fastest 5 months ever!  Finally, you are giving your momma a break an sleeping 8 hours at night.  You are in your pack and play in our bathroom..haha.  My plan is to have you in your crib at 6 months.  I think you might crawl before you sit up as you can scoot pretty good and then roll to get places.  I am pretty sure I see a tooth trying to come through..ahh...I can't believe you are old enough for teeth.  You have started eating cereal and you love it, your hands and feet get going when you see the food coming.  You are still a complete dream baby, all smiles.  I could squeeze you all day long!!  Your chunky legs, bright blue eyes, chubby cheeks just melt this mamma.

10 years strong

It's amazing to think where I am today and where I was 10 years ago today.  10 years ago I was still in my 20's and excited about my future, but not exactly sure what my future looked like, I just knew I I was about to marry the person I wanted to create a future with.  Now, 10 years later, I don't think I could have imagined how amazing and how far we would come in 10 years.  We have had good times and we have bad times.  We have become a little older and hopefully a bit wiser.  We created a loving home for our family of five. We have brought hree amazing children into our lives who forever have changed us.  There is no question, these have been the best ten years of my life.  Today, on our 10 year anniversary, I again wonder what our future holds.  I know we will be in our forties, we will no longer have babies, but instead middle schoolers and a teenager, a driving teenager at that.       I know that as long as I have you by my side, our future is bright.  I am just as excited about our future than I was the day I married you.  Thank you for the best ten years of my life.

Oh my

My poor baby (1st born baby) is STILL struggling with seperation anxiety.  Soccer camp is on full swing and today Ellen did morning drop off.  Well, I got the dreaded call from her that he was very upset and he wanted to come home.  Finally, he was talked into staying for camp.  Of course, I picked him up and he said he had a great time.  I asked him why he cried and he said it is too long.  About an  hour later he came up to me and said "I miss you when I'm at camp, if Mrs. Ellen deives again one morning maybe I can take a picture of you with me so I don't miss you".  Oh my, what am I going to do with this boy.  My heart breaks for him, but at the same time it makes me feel good he loves his momma so.

This girl

This girl is always has something to say and lately it's been pretty darn entertaining.  Yesterday, she was sitting down on the couch taking a little break and I hear saying "no eyes, don't shut".  So I go over to check out the situation to find out she is falling asleep and mad at her eyes.  She went on for a good minute slapping at her eyes every time they went to shut and yelling at them not to close.  Hayden and I were hysterically laughing and it was enough to wake her up.  Oh my, it was such a great moment.  She is pure comedy.
