Eating real food

Little Emerson is really not a big fan of baby food.  She will eat it all, but about half way through the container she starts screaming.  I can't really figure it out, but I decided that she is just flat out bored with baby food.  She is very independent and I think she prefers to feed herself.  She loves puffs and has been eating those for about a month or so.  The other day I decided it was time to introduce some "real" food.  I started with bananas and she loves them.  Then she tried pears and she shovels them into her mouth.  I can hardly put them on her tray fast enough.  Since it has been going so well, I decided we would throw in some veggies.  Well, I quickly learned that I probably made a huge mistake by introducing fruits first.  I just knew that she would love peas and carrots, I mean who doesn't.   The first pea went down, but the face Emerson made was priceless.  Next, she grabbed a small bite of carrot and I am thinking if she could eat a pea that she will love the carrot.  Uhm...yeah...she gagged at least four times.  I just knew I would be cleaning up throw up.  It took me back to the days of her eating cereal and her gagging and throwing up every where.  Well, poor girl went back for another carrot followed by few more gags.  At this point, she was not happy and starting fussing and saying..momma momma.  Really, I don't know if she is truly saying momma, but it sure sounds like it.  Funny thing is, she only says it when she is mad or upset, but I will take it.  Here is the sequence of event that took place while eating a carrot..
