Pebble Beach Trip

We were lucky enough to get the chance to spend a few days in California.  Though it was hard to leave Griffin and the kids, it was an amazing trip.  We met John and Kathy in San Francico and drove to Carmel.  We stayed at an adorable B&B just a few blocks from the beach.  It was a really cool little town, but it was freezing.  I was totally not prepared for it to be so cold.  We did the 17 mile drive, Big Sur, played tennis at the Pebble Beach tennis resort and rode in the golf cart as the guys played Pebble Beach.  It was an amazing trip and even more amazingly beautiful part of the country.

Griffin finally gets baptized

Though it was a month later than originally planned, Griffin was finally baptized.  He actually still fit in the gown, which I was very concerned about.  Griffin was supposed to be baptized in April, but Hayden and Emerson came down with the nasty stomach bug.  Poor babies, I was so glad Griffin did not end up with it.  The church was amazing and the only time they had available was Mother's Day weekend.  It was a wonderful service and Griffin was just so sweet.  he slept the whole service until it was his time to shine.  i woke him up, pulled him out of his car seat and passed him over to Lynn.  he just looked around and took it all in.  he looked like a little angel as Lynn carried him through the church.  Hayden stood up there like a proud big brother and shoeless Emerson kept trying to get to the Holy water.  What a special Mother's Day to have our families together to celebrate not only Griffin, but to celebrate the best job that I am blessed with...being a mother.

Child Free Vacay

David and I just returned from an amazing vacation.  From all his hard work and dedication, he earned a well deserved trip to the Dominican Republic.  I was super excited, but anxious as well to leave the kids, especially Griffin for 5 days.  I knew they were in great hands with their Mimi and Poppop so I was able to relax and thoroughly enjoy time with just me, David, the beach and lots of fruity drinks.  We had never been to an all inclusive resort and let me tell...we took full advantage it.  We even had a butler!!  There was lots if sleeping in, room service, lying on the beach, lounging in the pool, sipping on drinks and even some volleyball games.  It was really an amazing trip, nothing like the beach to clear your mind and refresh your soul.  As much as I looked forward to the trip, I think the best part was coming home to the hugs and smiles from our sweet babies.  That's the best way ever to end a vacation!
