The beginning of summer

Its just the beginning and I already spy bike riding, games of peek-a-boo, jeep riding, guitar picking, lemonade drinking, baby legs peeking, pirate hunting, cap gun shooting, popsicle eating, night nightings, fevers, bird house building, sling shot shooting, karate chopping, painting and swimming in tupperware.

Graduation from FUMC Pre-school

It is official, Hayden is no longer in Pre-school, he is a Kindergartner.  He graduated from Pre-K recently and it was a proud yet sad moment.  I just can not believe he has attended FUMC for three years.  I will never forget walking him in those front doors and dropping him off in Mrs. Kathy's class.  It was a fight from the time he woke up to get him to go to school.  Fast forward to this year, he basically begged to go to school with Mrs. Bonnie and Mrs. Kimberly.  He has grown so much the three years he has attended FUMC.  It will be weird not to be walking him down that same hallway, seeing the same faces that we have the past three years.  However, I know I will get to get it again with Emerson.  Hayden looked adorable in his cap, they sang a few songs and then received their "diploma".  I am so proud of my baby boy!!  He is truly kind, gentle and has the  sweetest soul of anyone I have ever known.  I can't wait to see what Kindy has in store for him.

Strawberry picking, Arrington Vineyards and Spring Soccer

It was a busy Spring and really flew by.  Hayden played spring soccer and had another great season.  He seems to be improving greatly, but it is game to game.  It depends all on his mood and if he is into it or not.  One night David got out all his old, high school soccer newspaper articles and showed them to Hayden.  Hayden was bound and determined to get into the newspaper, so we told him that the "newspaper" might be at his next game and if he played well he might get in the paper.  He had a great game and David cooked up a little something for Hayden on the computer.  It was another great season!

Hayden has his best buddy from school, Kellan, over to spend the night.  We have been meaning to get out to Arrington Vineyards for a long time and ended up meeting Kellan's parents out there.  It is such a great place to pack a picnic and let the kids run wild.

Hayden also had his last field trip at school.  They went to the awesome, Delvin organic farm and picked strawberries and went on a hayride.  The boys had a blast and the strawberries were delicious.  So good we went through two pints in a day.

Nightlight turns 1

Hayden has been asking over the past months when is Nightlight's 1st birthday.  Lets face it, Nightlight could be 4 for all we know, but to Hayden, she is 1.  Nighlight became part of the family last May so we decided that would be her birthday.  Hayden was adamant that we throw Nightlight a party, cake and all.  So, at the beginning of May we baked her a cake and had her 1st birthday.  I am truly surprised the fish made it this far.  She has a crooked back and can hardly swim.  For two weeks she will just lay at the bottom of the bowl, she will not eat a single thing and then for a week she is totally normal (other than the crooked back) and then she is back to the bottom of the bowl.  Such a weird fish, but Hayden sure loves her so!!

Playing catch up

I am a total slacker and really far behind on updates.  So, lets start with some pictures from Easter.  Emerson was able to participate in her first Eater egg hunts and she caught on very quickly, she filled her Easter basket as quick as her little hand could pick up the colorful eggs.  And Hayden, he was content seeing what surprises were in the eggs.  The Easter Bunny brought Hayden an art easel and Emerson a baby doll stroller.  That baby doll stroller was a hit!  She has pushed her babies all over the place and even enjoys taking a little break and sitting in it.
