Well, I can say that sending Emerson off to her first, ever, day of school was much different than dropping off Hayden at his first day. Hayden screamed and cried from the moment we left the house, to the time I picked him up. Emerson, she ran down the hallway to her classroom, which happens to be the same class Hayden had when he was four and the same teacher, Mrs. Amy. Emerson is very familiar with this classroom as it is also the nursery where she has spent a lot of time in during church. So, once she stepped foot in the class, hung up her little backpack, the tears and screaming "NO" started. I ran out of that room as fast as I could and was crushed to hear her in there mad as a hornet, not sad, but MAD!! It all flashed through my head as I realized great, I have another Hayden on my hands, my Monday's and Wednesday's are going to be a fight to get her to school. Ahhh!! I stressed the whole two hours, as it was a short day to break the kids in. I was anxious to know how she did and as I walked down the hallway and peeked in, I came across Emerson dressed from head to toe in Cinderella dress up attire. When she finally saw me she flashed a big smile and ran and gave me a big hug. I knew she was 100% sold on school when I saw her face and heard all about her new friends Avery and Caroline, and how they all play dress up. What a relief! After her first day, we walked to Sweet CeCe's to get a treat with her best buddy, Wyatt. We have not had anymore tears since that first day and she so far loves going to school and playing dress up with her new friends. I can not say what a huge, deep, breath I can take knowing that she loves going to school. I am so proud of my Emerson.
